Created in 1977 by visually impaired Canadian athletes Joe Lewis and Patrick York, Showdown quickly became a sport for everyone. Since 1980, it has grown internationally, and in 1999, the IBSA officially regulated it, ensuring fair play for visually impaired athletes.

Played for fun or in competition, Showdown is ultra-fast-paced. Using a blackout mask, every player, visually impaired or sighted, enjoys an equal and thrilling game experience.
